After almost 20 years in big corporate IT, and seeing a LOT of mistakes, I want to stop others making the same ones.
My experience of vendor providers and managed services is that they have an agenda that may not be in the best interest of their customers. It was also a constraint to my thinking, in terms of the products and approaches that shoudl be be used.
The approach that I use comes from my consulting experience and stems from the tradeoffs between cost, quality and speed. Since most transformations are predicated on the fact that organisations want to Save Money, Keep Money or Make Money, each of these goals will need to be balanced against quality goals that are important to their business and customers, performance and risk, and how quickly they can acheive those goals
